KPK Examines Several OPD Officials at Tulungagung Police Station

Tulungagung, East Java (ANTARA) - A team of investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted marathon examinations of several officials from the Regional Device Organisations (OPD) of the Tulungagung Regency Government at the Tulungagung Police Resort, East Java, on Friday. The examinations began on Friday around 7:00 PM WIB following a hand-catch operation (OTT) against the Regent of Tulungagung, Gatut Sini Wibowo, shortly beforehand. In Jakarta, KPK Deputy Chairman Fitroh Rohcahyanto confirmed the OTT against Regent Gatut Sunu Wibowo in Tulungagung. The same information was provided by a source at the Tulungagung Police Resort, stating that the KPK team had been active in Tulungagung since Friday afternoon. Meanwhile, Regent Gatut Sunu Wibowo was reported to have been taken by the KPK team to the Merah Putih Building in Jakarta, while several OPD officials underwent marathon examinations at the Tulungagung Police Resort building. Field observations indicated that at least 11 OPD officials and one aide to Regent Gatut Sunu were at the Tulungagung Police Resort building. This was followed by Dwi Hari from the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of Tulungagung, Public Works Head Erwin Novinato, Agriculture Office Head Suyanto, and Protocol and Communications Section Head Aris Wahyudiono. They were reportedly being examined on the second floor of the Tulungagung Police Resort building, and as of the time this report was written, there were no signs of them leaving for the purposes of the investigation.
