It is known that KPK has named non-active Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman and Cilacap Regency Secretary Sadmoko Danardono (SAD) as suspects in the alleged extortion case. The two are charged under Article 12 letter e and/or Article 12B of the Corruption Eradication Law.
They are suspected of forcing Cilacap Regency officials to contribute money for Eid bonuses ahead of Lebaran. KPK seized Rp610 million during the raid on Syamsul and associates.
Amount of Money Allegedly from Extortion
KPK uncovered the contents of goodie bags containing Eid bonus money extorted from several department heads (kadis) prepared by Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman (AUL) to be distributed to Forkopimda members. The Eid money in the goodie bags varied from Rp20 million to Rp100 million.
“Per goodie bag, it ranges from Rp100 to 50 million. Some are 100, some 50, so each Forkopimda is different. There are also 20s. Earlier, there were about six goodie bags: six with 100, 100, 50, 50, and one with 20,” explained KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Asep Guntur Rahayu during a press conference at the KPK building in South Jakarta on Saturday (14/3/2026).
Asep also explained that Regent Syamsul had set a target for obtaining the Eid money to be distributed to Forkopimda. He mentioned the target was up to Rp750 million.
“Money from each regional apparatus in Cilacap Regency with a ‘contribution target’ reaching Rp750 million,” said Asep.
Asep further explained that from the total target, each work unit (satker) was asked to contribute between Rp75 million and Rp100 million. He noted that Cilacap Regency has 25 regional apparatuses, 2 general hospitals, and 20 community health centres.
“Initially, each work unit (satker) was targeted to contribute Rp75 million to Rp100 million. Although in reality, the contributions received varied from Rp3 million to Rp100 million per regional apparatus,” revealed Asep.
