The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is delving into other receipts by Albertinus Parlinggoman Napitupulu, the Head of the Hulu Sungai Utara District Prosecutor’s Office (Kejari HSU), who is a suspect in the alleged extortion case.

This material was explored when KPK examined the prosecutor at the HSU District Prosecutor’s Office, Aganta Haris Saputra, at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta on Wednesday (8/4).

“Investigators are delving into the witness’s statements to complete the investigation file related to the budget cuts carried out by the suspect within the internal HSU Kejari, as well as related to receipts made by Mr APN [Albertinus Parlinggoman Napitupulu],” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo when confirmed via written message on Thursday (9/4).

KPK is also scheduled to summon two other witnesses, namely Henrikus Ion Sidabutar as Staff in the Civil and State Administration Section of the HSU District Prosecutor’s Office, and Anggun Devianty as the detention guard or Assistant Expenditure Treasurer of the HSU District Prosecutor’s Office.

However, both did not attend, and the examination will be rescheduled.

KPK has designated Albertinus, Asis Budianto as Head of the Intelligence Section of HSU Kejari, and Tri Taruna Fariadi as Head of the Civil and State Administration Section of HSU Kejari, as suspects in the alleged extortion case. The suspects have been detained.

The suspects are charged with violating Article 12 letter e, Article 12 letter f of the Corruption Eradication Law (UU Tipikor) in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 first of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 64 of the Criminal Code.

In the ongoing investigation process, KPK has searched the HSU District Prosecutor’s Office, the official residence of HSU Chief Prosecutor Albertinus, and his private home in East Jakarta to search for evidence related to the alleged extortion case being handled.

KPK seized a number of documents and Electronic Evidence (BBE) suspected to be related to the alleged criminal act of extortion or budget cuts in the environment of the HSU District Prosecutor’s Office.

During the search at the official residence of HSU Chief Prosecutor Albertinus, KPK seized one vehicle registered to the Tolitoli Regency Government, Central Sulawesi.

After taking office as HSU Chief Prosecutor in August 2025, Albertinus is alleged to have received a flow of money of at least Rp804 million, directly or through intermediaries, namely Asis and Tri Taruna as well as other parties.

The money receipts came from alleged extortion by Albertinus to several regional apparatus in HSU, including the Education Office, Health Office, Public Works Office (PU), and the Regional General Hospital (RSUD).

This case was uncovered by KPK through a Handcatch Operation (OTT) on 17-18 December last year.
