Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined an Internal Auditor from PT Pertamina (Persero), initialled ATH, as a witness in the alleged corruption case concerning the management of capital investments and long-term loans at PPT Energy Trading Co., Ltd (PPT ET), a joint venture between Indonesia and Japan, from 2015 to 2022. “The examination took place at the KPK’s Red and White Building regarding ATH as Pertamina’s Internal Auditor,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Monday. According to KPK records, witness ATH complied with the summons by arriving at the Red and White Building at 10:15 WIB. Previously, on 30 July 2025, the KPK announced the start of the investigation into the case at PPT ET related to PT Pertamina (Persero). In the investigation of this case, the KPK has prevented three individuals from travelling abroad, namely MH from PPT ET, and MZ and OA as private parties. The KPK also announced that suspects have been determined in this case, but their identities cannot yet be disclosed to the public. On the PPT ET website, it is known that Pertamina holds 50 percent of the shares in this Indonesia-Japan joint venture company. Besides Pertamina, the shareholders are 13 Japanese companies, namely Toyota Motor Corporation, ENEOS Corporation, Chubu Electric Power, The Kansai Electric Power, INPEX Corporation, Cosmo Oil, Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, Idemitsu Kosan, Japan Petroleum Exploration or JAPEX, Tokyo Gas, Kashima Oil, Kyushu Electric Power, and Nippon Steel Engineering.
