KPK Examines PAN Official to Probe Alleged Receipt of Funds by Rejang Lebong Regent
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is delving into allegations of fund receipts by the suspended Regent of Rejang Lebong, Muhammad Fikri Thobari.
This matter was explored by the KPK during the examination of Wakil Ketua DPD I Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN) B Daditama as a witness in the bribery case involving project kickbacks that ensnared Fikri Thobari, on Tuesday (12/5/2026).
“The witness’s knowledge regarding the alleged receipts by the Regent of Rejang Lebong,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in his statement on Tuesday.
“Investigators requested information and confirmation from the witness related to the arrangement of projects within the Rejang Lebong Regency,” he added.
In this case, the KPK has designated five suspects: Regent of Rejang Lebong Muhammad Fikri Thobari, Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Department (Dinas PUPR-PKP) Hary Eko Purnomo, Irsyad Satria Budiman from PT Statika Mitra Sarana, Edi Manggala from CV Manggala Utama, and Youki Yudiantoro from CV Alpagker Abadi.
Regent of Rejang Lebong Muhammad Fikri Thobari received bribes totalling Rp 980 million from demands for kickback fees on projects from contractor companies.
“Following the direct appointments, it is alleged that initial payments of the kickback fees in the form of money were handed over by the three contractors to MFT (Regent of Rejang Lebong) through intermediaries, totalling Rp 980 million,” said Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu at the Merah Putih Building, Jakarta, on Wednesday (11/3/2026).
Asep stated that Fikri received the bribe money in stages through his intermediaries.
First, on 26 February 2026, Edi Manggala from CV MU handed over Rp 330 million (3.4 percent of the project value for the construction of pedestrian walkways and drainage as well as a sports centre worth a total of Rp 9.8 billion) through the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Department, Hary Eko.
Third, on 6 March 2026, Youki Yudiantoro from CV AA handed over Rp 250 million (2.3 percent of the project value for the renovation of buildings and the environment in the football stadium area worth Rp 11 billion) through Rendy Novian, an ASN in the Public Works and Spatial Planning Department.
The KPK subsequently carried out the detention of the suspects for the first 20 days, from 11 to 30 March 2026, at the State Detention Centre (Rutan) Branch of the Merah Putih Building of the KPK.
For their actions, Regent of Rejang Lebong Fikri, together with the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Department, Hary Eko, as recipients, are charged with committing the criminal act of corruption and violating Article 12 letter a or letter b and/or 12 B of Law No. 31/1999 as amended by Law No. 20/2001 on the eradication of criminal acts of corruption, in conjunction with Article 20 letter c of Law No. 1/2023 on the Criminal Code.
Meanwhile, Irsyad Satria Budiman, Edi Manggala, and Youki Yudiantoro as givers are charged with committing the criminal act of corruption and violating Article 605 paragraph (1) or Article 606 paragraph (1) of Law No. 1/2023 on the Criminal Code, in conjunction with Law No. 1/2026 on the Adjustment of Penalties.
