KPK Examines Ono Surono's Wife Regarding Items Seized from Their Home
JAKARTA - The wife of West Java DPRD Deputy Chairman Ono Surono, Setyowati Anggraini Saputro, has completed examination by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) as a witness in the alleged bribery case for advance payment (ijon) on a project implicating the dismissed Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang, on Tuesday (7/4/2026).
Setyowati’s lawyer, Parlindungan Sihombing, stated that his client was asked 16 questions regarding the suspects in the bribery case and the items seized by the KPK during the search of Ono Surono’s home.
“We were asked 16 questions earlier, but essentially, there were only about five main questions, such as whether she knows the suspects, and so on. We said she does not know them. The others were about where the seized items came from, which we have explained, and it seems everything is clear now,” Parlindungan said at the Merah Putih Building in Jakarta on Tuesday.
“The investigators suggested that we file a request to retrieve our items, possibly,” he added.
Parlindungan also said there was no direct intimidation towards his client during the search of Ono Surono’s home.
However, he deemed the KPK investigators’ action in asking Ono’s family to turn off the CCTV inappropriate.
“At that time, there was nothing direct, but there were some things done that we think were not quite right, like the request to turn off the CCTV. That’s all for now,” he stated.
During the search in Bandung, the KPK seized several pieces of evidence in the form of cash worth hundreds of millions, documents, and electronic evidence (BBE).
Meanwhile, in Indramayu, the KPK seized several documents and electronic evidence.
Budi stated that the KPK investigative team was well received by Ono Surono’s family and experienced no interference during the search.
He said the search ran smoothly, and the family and local apparatus were cooperative.
“There was no interference as per the narratives circulating in society,” he remarked.
Budi also affirmed that the investigators did not intimidate Ono Surono’s wife.
“There was none. The search activities proceeded smoothly and well,” he said.
