KPK examines Manpower Ministry Director Heru Widianto as witness in K3 case
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined Christianus Heru Widianto (CHW), Director of Labour Social Security and Worker Welfare Facilitation at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker), as a witness.
The examination took place as part of the investigation into the alleged extortion case in the processing of occupational safety and health (K3) certificates within the Ministry of Manpower.
“The examination was held at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in the name of CHW,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Thursday.
Budi explained that Heru Widianto was examined by the KPK in his capacity as the former Director of Institutional Affairs and Prevention of Industrial Relations Disputes (KPPHI) at the Ministry of Manpower.
According to KPK records, Heru Widianto complied with the summons by arriving at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building at 09:44 WIB.
Furthermore, he stated that the KPK examined four other witnesses, including JH, EMS, and TDS from the private sector, as well as ZF, an official responsible for commitments at the Directorate General of Labour Supervision Development and Occupational Safety and Health (Binwasnaker and K3) at the Ministry of Manpower.
Witness JH arrived at 10:12 WIB, EMS at 10:11 WIB, TDS at 09:39 WIB, while ZF arrived at 08:48 WIB.
Previously, the case stemmed from a hand-catch operation (OTT) conducted by the KPK.
On 22 August 2025, the KPK named Immanuel Ebenezer, Deputy Minister of Manpower, along with ten others as suspects in the alleged extortion case related to the processing of K3 certificates within the Ministry of Manpower.

Subsequently, on 11 December 2025, the KPK announced three new suspects in the case. They are former Head of Public Relations Bureau at the Ministry of Manpower, Sunardi Manampiar Sinaga (SMS), former Secretary of the Directorate General of Binwasnaker and K3 at the Ministry of Manpower, Chairul Fadhly Harahap (CFH), and former Director General of Binwasnaker and K3 at the Ministry of Manpower, Haiyani Rumondang (HR).
