KPK Examines Lippo Cikarang Legal Staff Regarding Bekasi Regent's House Purchase
The KPK is examining Ruri, a legal staff member from Lippo Cikarang, in connection with the alleged bribery case implicating suspended Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang (ADK). The KPK is delving into the matter of the house purchase made by Ade Kuswara.
“Investigators are exploring the witness’s knowledge regarding the purchase of an asset in the form of a house by suspect ADK,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters on Wednesday (1/4/2026).
Budi stated that the request for information is part of the asset tracing process. He explained that asset tracing is an initial step in the recovery of assets from corruption.
“This tracing by investigators is not only needed for the proof process but also as an initial effort in asset recovery later,” Budi clarified.
The examination of Ruri was conducted by the KPK on Tuesday (31/3). The examination took place at the KPK Building in Kuningan, South Jakarta.
In this case, the KPK has named three individuals as suspects, namely:
Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang
Ade Kuswara’s father, HM Kunang
Private party, Sarjan.
Ade and HM Kunang are alleged to have received a bribe of Rp 9.5 billion. KPK’s Deputy for Enforcement and Execution, Asep Guntur Rahayu, stated that the project was planned to be undertaken in 2026. The money is said to be a down payment for project guarantees.
“The total down payment given by SRJ to ADK and HMK amounts to Rp 9.5 billion. The payments were made in four instalments through intermediaries,” said Asep.
