KPK examines Lippo Cikarang legal staff regarding Ade Kunang's house purchase

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed the examination of a legal employee from Lippo Cikarang with the initials RR on 31 March 2026, concerning the purchase of a house unit by the suspect in the alleged corruption case, the inactive Regent of Bekasi, Ade Kuswara Kunang (ADK). “In the examination that took place at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building, investigators delved into the witness’s knowledge regarding the purchase of an asset in the form of a house by the suspect ADK,” stated KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Wednesday. Budi explained that the witness’s testimony is needed for the proof process as well as initial efforts in recovering state financial losses. Previously, the KPK conducted a sting operation (OTT) and arrested ten people in Bekasi Regency, West Java, on 18 December 2025. On 19 December 2025, the KPK announced that eight of the ten individuals were brought to the Merah Putih Building in Jakarta for intensive examination. Two of the eight people included Ade Kunang and his father, HM Kunang. On the same date, the KPK announced the seizure of hundreds of millions of rupiah in the case allegedly related to bribery for projects in Bekasi Regency. On 20 December 2025, the KPK named Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang (ADK), his father who is also the Head of Sukadami Village in Cikarang Selatan Subdistrict, Bekasi Regency, HM Kunang (HMK), and a private party named Sarjan (SRJ) as suspects in the alleged bribery case. The KPK stated that Ade Kuswara and HM Kunang are suspects for allegedly receiving bribes, while Sarjan is a suspect for allegedly giving bribes.
