KPK Examines Finance Director of PT Wanatiara Persada, He Yanbin

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined He Yanbin (HY), Finance Director of PT Wanatiara Persada, as a witness in the investigation into alleged bribery at the North Jakarta Madya Tax Office.

The examination took place at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building for HY, in his capacity as Finance Director of PT Wanatiara Persada,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Thursday.

According to KPK records, He Yanbin arrived at 10:09 WIB.

Budi stated that the KPK also summoned IBM, an employee of PT Hartono Istana Teknologi, as well as HS and FSK, employees of PT Sarana Kencana Mulya, as witnesses in the case.

Previously, the KPK conducted its first catch-and-grab operation (OTT) of 2026 on 9-10 January 2026, arresting eight people.

On 9 January 2026, the KPK stated that the OTT was related to alleged tax arrangements in the mining sector.

On 11 January 2026, the KPK named five individuals as suspects from the OTT. They are Dwi Budi (DWB), Head of the North Jakarta Madya Tax Office; Agus Syaifudin (AGS), Head of the Supervision and Consultation Section at the North Jakarta Madya Tax Office; Askob Bahtiar (ASB), Assessor Team at the North Jakarta Madya Tax Office; tax consultant Abdul Kadim Sahbudin (ABD); and Edy Yulianto (EY), staff member of PT Wanatiara Persada.

Edy Yulianto is alleged to have been the party giving a Rp4 billion bribe to employees of the North Jakarta Madya Tax Office to reduce the land and building tax (PBB) payment shortfall for the 2023 tax period, originally around Rp75 billion, to Rp15.7 billion.
