KPK examines eight Cilacap Regency officials to investigate THR collection
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined eight officials from departments within the Cilacap Regency Government, Central Java, as witnesses, to deepen the investigation into the collection of holiday allowance (THR) funds related to the alleged extortion case involving former Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman.
“In this examination, investigators requested statements from the witnesses regarding the money they gave to their respective department heads for the purpose of collecting THR funds,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Thursday.
Budi stated that the department officials examined by the KPK on Thursday consisted of RH as Head of the Educator and Education Personnel Development Division of the Cilacap Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud), FDW as Head of Facilities and Infrastructure Division of Disdikbud Cilacap, BK as Head of Early Childhood Education and Community Education Division of Disdikbud Cilacap, and SSMO as Staff of Disdikbud Cilacap.
Additionally, MJ as Secretary of the Cilacap Agriculture Office (Dispertan), NK as Head of Facilities and Infrastructure Division of Dispertan Cilacap, SS as Head of Livestock and Animal Health Division of Dispertan Cilacap, and AA as Head of Horticulture Division of Dispertan Cilacap.
Previously, on 13 March 2026, the KPK announced the ninth sting operation of 2026, which was also the third in the month of Ramadan.
The sting operation resulted in the arrest of Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman and 26 others, along with the seizure of cash in rupiah.
On 14 March 2026, the KPK named Syamsul Auliya Rachman (AUL) and Cilacap Regional Secretary Sadmoko Danardoo (SAD) as suspects in the alleged extortion and other receipts case within the Cilacap Regency Government, Central Java, for the 2025–2026 fiscal year.
Syamsul Auliya targeted Rp750 million from the extortion, divided into Rp515 million for the THR of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) of Cilacap Regency, with the remainder for personal interests. However, he only obtained Rp610 million before being arrested by the KPK.
