The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined ten witnesses comprising Civil Servants (ASN) from the Rejang Lebong Regency Government and close associates of Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari on Tuesday (7/4).

The examination took place at the office of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) Representative for Bengkulu Province.

The witnesses examined were Amin Jaya (Head of Administrative Section, Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement Area Department (PUPRPKP)); Luhur Budi (Head of Housing and Settlement Division, PUPRPKP Department); Roni Saputra (Head of Road Infrastructure Division, PUPRPKP Department); Andi Irawan (Head of Water Resources Division, PUPRPKP Department); and Fani Soelintara (Head of Public Works Division, PUPRPKP Department).

Then Yusuf Wahyudi Barli (Head of Regional Infrastructure Development Division, PUPRPKP Department); Santri Ghozali (Head of Personnel Sub-section, PUPRPKP Department); Talata Jimy Ariko (Head of Waste Processing UPTD Sub-section, PUPRPKP Department); Iwan Sumantri (Regional Secretary of Rejang Lebong Regency); and Dian (Driver of the Regional Secretary of Rejang Lebong).

“The witnesses from the PUPRPKP Department cluster were asked for statements by investigators regarding the procurement of goods and services in their respective fields, which are suspected to involve the appointment of project implementers based on instructions from the suspect,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a written statement on Wednesday (8/4).

“Then, the cluster of witnesses who are close associates or trusted by the regent were confirmed regarding the receipt and management of money by the regent, which is suspected to originate from private parties as implementers of goods and services procurement work in the Rejang Lebong Regency environment,” he continued.

Previously, on Monday (6/4), the KPK scheduled an examination of the wife of Regent Muhammad Fikri, named Intan Larasita, in Jakarta. However, it is not yet known whether Intan complied with the summons or not.

The KPK has named five suspects in the alleged corruption case involving advance bribes for projects in Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, for the 2025-2026 Fiscal Year.

Two suspects as bribe recipients are Regent Fikri and Head of PUPRPKP Department Harry Eko Purnomo.

Meanwhile, three suspects as bribe givers are Irsyad Satria Budiman from PT Statika Mitra Sarana; Edi Manggala from CV Manggala Utama; and Youki Yusdiantoro from CV Alpagker Abadi.

The suspects have been detained at the KPK’s Red and White Building Branch State Detention House.

Fikri and Harry Eko are charged with violating Article 12 letter a or letter b and/or Article 12 B of the Corruption Eradication Law (UU Tipikor) in conjunction with Article 20 letter c of Law Number 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code (KUHP).

Meanwhile, the three private sector suspects are charged with violating Article 605 paragraph (1) or Article 606 paragraph (1) of the KUHP in conjunction with Law Number 1 of 2026 on Penalty Adjustments.

This case was uncovered by the KPK through a Handcatch Operation (OTT).

In the ongoing investigation process, the KPK has searched many locations such as the regent’s house, the house and office of the PUPRPKP Department Head, the education department office, as well as the homes of the perpetrators and related witnesses.

The searches were conducted marathons starting from 13 March to 15 March 2026.

The KPK seized several pieces of evidence allegedly related to the case, such as documents and Electronic Evidence (BBE), as well as Rp1 billion in cash from Harry Eko’s house.
