The Anti-Corruption Commission (KPK) spokesperson Budi Prasetyo explained to reporters at the KPK’s Merah Putih building in South Jakarta on Tuesday (11/5/2026) that the aide in question is always by the Regent’s side, so this examination generally relates to the Regent’s activities.

Budi stated that investigators are delving into the activities of Fadia’s family company, which is allegedly linked to several departments in Pekalongan during her tenure. Investigators suspect Fadia requested that departments in Pekalongan use her company for outsourcing procurements.

“Regarding the construction of the case, the Regent used her family company to handle outsourcing procurements in several departments,” Budi said.

“This then creates a conflict of interest, of course. Because the Regent is still actively in office, overseeing several departments, and then requesting that these departments use the Regent’s company to handle those outsourcing procurements,” he added.

It is known that two witnesses summoned are the former regent’s aide named Siti Hanikatun and the regent’s aide named Aji Setiawan. Both were examined at the KPK’s Merah Putih building in Kuningan, South Jakarta.

In this case, the KPK continues to investigate the flow of corruption money received by Fadia. Previously, the KPK also examined Fadia’s husband, Mukhtaruddin Ashraff Abu. The KPK pressed him on the flow of money in the case ensnaring Fadia during his examination.

“Of course, with his capacity as a commissioner or as the majority shareholder of PT RNB, what are his roles, including related to the alleged flow of money,” KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told reporters at the KPK building in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (29/4).

Ashraff himself received a flow of money from the case ensnaring Fadia. Ashraff serves as commissioner of PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya, a company founded with his child.

“Because this RNB company, when it wins outsourcing service procurement projects, then there are payments from the departments,” he said.

In this case, Fadia ordered regional apparatus to award her company the tender for outsourcing services. Fadia’s family company itself received Rp 46 billion from 2023 to 2026, which was then distributed.

Here is the breakdown:

  • Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq: Rp 5.5 billion;

  • Fadia’s husband, Ashraff: Rp 1.1 billion;

  • Director of PT RNB Rul Bayatun: Rp 2.3 billion;

  • Fadia’s child, Sabiq: Rp 4.6 billion;

  • Fadia’s child, Mehnaz Na: Rp 2.5 billion;

  • And cash withdrawals of Rp 3 billion.

Fadia has now been named a suspect and detained by the KPK. She is charged under Article 12 letter i and Article 12 B of the Corruption Eradication Law in conjunction with Article 127 paragraph (1) of Law Number 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code.

The KPK has seized cars from several parties at Fadia Arafiq’s official residence up to Cibubur. The details are Wuling Air EV, Mitsubishi Xpander, Toyota Camry, Toyota Fortuner, and Toyota Vellfire.
