JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is delving into the process of distributing funds from Bank Indonesia’s (BI) corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme to foundations affiliated with two suspects, namely DPR RI member Heri Gunawan and Satori.

The KPK questioned these matters during the examination of two witnesses who are BI retirees, Hanafi and Tri Subandoro.

“The two witnesses were questioned regarding the distribution or allocation of Bank Indonesia’s social programme funds to foundations linked to the two suspects in this case, namely HG and ST,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in his statement on Monday (4/5/2026).

He stated that investigators still require examinations of several witnesses to explain the implementation of the social programmes at BI and the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

“Because it is suspected that the social programme funds were not fully used as they should have been, and instead went into the personal pockets of the suspects,” Budi said.

The KPK has named two DPR RI members, Heru Gunawan and Satori, as suspects in the alleged corruption case involving BI-OJK CSR funds for 2020-2023.

However, both are suspected of not carrying out the social activities as required in the proposals for requesting social aid funds.

For their actions, Heri Gunawan and Satori are charged with violating Article 12 B of the Corruption Eradication Law (UU Tipikor) in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph 1(1) of the Criminal Code (KUHP) and Article 64 Paragraph 1 of the KUHP.

In addition, they are also charged under the provisions of Law No. 8 of 2010 on the Prevention and Eradication of Money Laundering Crimes in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph 1(1) of the KUHP.
