KPK Examines ATR/BPN Secretary-General in Suhardiman Amby Case

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has examined Dalu Agung Darmawan, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), as a witness in a suspected bribery case implicating the suspended Regent of Kuantan Singingi, Suhardiman Amby. KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that the examination took place at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta, with Dalu Agung being questioned in his former capacity as Director-General of Agrarian Management at the Ministry of ATR/BPN. In addition to Dalu Agung, the KPK also examined Suprapto, Head of the Sub-Directorate for Forest Area Designation Region I at the Ministry of ATR/BPN, as a witness in the same case. According to KPK records, Dalu Agung arrived at 10:35 WIB, while Suprapto arrived at 09:18 WIB. The case began when Suhardiman Amby and Kuantan Singingi Regional Secretary Zulkarnain surrendered to the KPK on 30 June 2026. The following day, the KPK named Suhardiman Amby, Zulkarnain, and Ardiles, the President Director of PT Mitra Ideal Consultant, as suspects in a bribery case related to the buying and selling of positions within the Kuantan Singingi Regency administration from 2021 to 2026. The KPK also suspects Suhardiman of receiving gratuities connected to the release of limited production forest areas. Following his implication in the case, Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni explained on 3 July 2026 that during an audience with Suhardiman on 2 June 2026, the regional head left behind a sealed envelope inside a folder. Raja Juli stated he only noticed the envelope after Suhardiman had left the room and immediately ordered his aide to return it without knowing its contents. The return was carried out on 12 June 2026 after a delay due to scheduling conflicts, with the envelope handed back to Suhardiman via the aide in Kuantan Singingi Regency. Raja Juli also reported the rejected gratuity to the KPK on 3 July 2026, but the commission announced on 17 July 2026 that it had rejected his report as it was already investigating the matter.
