KPK Examines ATR/BPN Secretary-General in Suhardiman Amby Case
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has questioned the Secretary General of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Dalu Agung Darmawan (DAD), as a witness in an alleged bribery case that has ensnared suspended Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing) Regent Suhardiman Amby.
“The examination took place at the KPK’s Red and White Building in Jakarta, in the name of DAD,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Thursday.
Budi said Dalu Agung was questioned by the KPK in his capacity as former Director General of Agrarian Administration at the ATR/BPN Ministry.
In addition to Dalu Agung, he said the KPK also questioned Suprapto, Head of the Forest Area Confirmation Sub-Directorate for Region I at the ATR/BPN Ministry, as a witness in the case.
According to KPK records as of 13:20 WIB, Dalu Agung arrived at 10:35 WIB, whilst Suprapto arrived at 09:18 WIB.
Kuansing Regent Suhardiman Amby and Kuansing Regional Secretary Zulkarnain subsequently surrendered themselves to the KPK on 30 June 2026.
On 1 July 2026, the KPK named Suhardiman Amby, Zulkarnain, and the Director of PT Mitra Ideal Consultant, Ardiles, as suspects in the alleged bribery case related to the buying and selling of positions within the Kuantan Singingi District Government during 2021–2026.
In addition to the alleged bribery, the KPK also suspects Suhardiman of receiving gratification related to the processing of the release of limited production forest areas.
After his name became entangled in the case, Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni explained on 3 July 2026 that when receiving Suhardiman for an audience on 2 June 2026, the regional head left behind an envelope enclosed in a folder.
According to Raja Juli, he only became aware of the envelope after Suhardiman had left the room. He then ordered his aide to return the envelope without knowing its contents.
Raja Juli said the envelope was returned on 12 June 2026, having previously been delayed due to scheduling difficulties. The envelope was returned to Suhardiman through his aide in Kuantan Singingi District.
On 3 July 2026, Raja Juli also reported the rejection of the gratification to the KPK. Meanwhile, on 17 July 2026, the KPK announced it had declined the report from Raja Juli because it was already investigating the payment.
