KPK Examines Acting Mayor of Madiun, Investigates CSR Fund Requests in Maidi Extortion Case
During today’s examination, witnesses were questioned in depth about the planning processes and requests for CSR funds made by the suspect, Mayor of Madiun, to private parties,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters on Monday (11/5/2026).
Today, the KPK also examined two other witnesses, namely Acting Head of the Transportation Department of the Madiun City Government, Agus Mursidi (AM), and Agus Tri Tjatanto (ATT), as the Secretary of the Public Works Department of the Madiun City Government. They were questioned regarding permits to private parties that were not issued unless CSR was provided as requested by Maidi.
“Thus, the element of threat or extortion becomes strong in the construction of this case, including allegations of receipts made by several departments from private parties, which are also suspected to be for the needs of the Mayor of Madiun,” he said.
Bagus himself finished being examined by the KPK at 17:49 WIB. He was examined for more than 10 hours since 07:39 WIB.
After being examined, Bagus was brief in his statements. He asked that anything delved into during the examination be asked to the KPK investigators.
“Ask the investigators, yes,” said Bagus after being examined.
In this case, the KPK has named Maidi as a suspect in alleged extortion and gratification. Maidi is suspected of demanding fees from business permits in Madiun.
The KPK seized cash of Rp550 million in the case involving Maidi. In total, three people have been named as suspects in this case, with the following identities:
Mayor of Madiun, Maidi
Head of the Public Works Department of Madiun City, Thariq Megah
Private party, Rochim Rudiyanto.
