KPK Examines 14 Witnesses in Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq Corruption Case

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is continuing to investigate the alleged corruption case involving the non-active Regent of Pekalongan, Fadia Arafiq. On Wednesday (17/6/2026), KPK investigators conducted a marathon examination of 14 witnesses at the Pekalongan City Police Headquarters in Central Java. Pekalongan City Police Chief AKB Riki Yariandi confirmed that his office facilitated the examination venue in the Operations Post hall at the KPK’s request. “Today, a follow-up examination is being carried out regarding the alleged corruption case handled by the KPK. We were only asked to provide the venue,” said Riki. According to data gathered, the examinations are scheduled to take place in stages until 19 June 2026. The 14 summoned witnesses come from various backgrounds, including the bureaucracy, vertical agencies, and the private sector. The case originated from a sting operation (OTT) on 3 March 2026 in Semarang. The KPK subsequently named Fadia Arafiq as the sole suspect in the alleged corruption of outsourced labour service procurement within the Pekalongan Regency Government for the 2023-2026 fiscal years. The alleged modus operandi involved a strong conflict of interest. Fadia is suspected of conditioning her family’s company, PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya (RNB), to win a number of procurement projects. The contract value involved reached Rp19 billion. From that total, the KPK identified a flow of funds amounting to Rp13.7 billion enjoyed directly by Fadia and her family. Meanwhile, Rp2.3 billion flowed to the Director of PT RNB, identified by the initials RB, who is known to be the suspect’s household assistant, and the remaining Rp3 billion is still in cash. The examination of these witnesses is expected to strengthen evidence regarding the involvement of other parties and clarify the mechanism for disbursing funds from projects managed by PT RNB within the Pekalongan Regency Government.
