Jakarta – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) states that 12 people arrested in a sting operation (OTT) in Tulungagung Regency, East Java, following the examination of Tulungagung Regent Gatut Sunu Wibowo at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta, have been questioned.

“Out of a total of 18 people examined and secured, 13 of them were subsequently brought to Jakarta today in stages,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday, 11 April 2026.

He explained that besides Gatut Sunu, the other 11 people brought to Jakarta are from the Tulungagung Regency Government environment, while one more is from another party.

“Subsequently, these parties will undergo further examination at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building,” he said.

Budi added that besides securing the parties involved, the team also seized evidence, one of which is in the form of cash.

The KPK has a 1 x 24-hour period to determine the status of the parties arrested in the OTT in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP).

On Friday, 10 April 2026, the KPK arrested 16 people in an OTT in Tulungagung, East Java, including Tulungagung Regent Gatut Sunu Wibowo, marking the tenth OTT in 2026.
