KPK entrusts seized vehicle from former HSU Prosecutor to Tolitoli Regency Government
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has entrusted a vehicle seized from the home of former Head of the Hulu Sungai Utara District Prosecutor’s Office, Albertinus Parlinggoman Napitupulu (APN), to the Tolitoli Regency Government in Central Sulawesi.
“After the seizure, we entrusted it to the Tolitoli Regency Government for safekeeping,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Friday.
Budi explained that the decision was made by the KPK so that the vehicle could be used for operational needs within the Tolitoli Regency Government.
“Yes, we don’t want the vehicle to end up idle, as the KPK encourages optimal utilisation or use of every asset by the local government,” he said.
“After checking the documents and vehicle registration, it was found that the vehicle belongs to the Tolitoli Regency Government. Therefore, based on that finding, the investigators immediately coordinated with the Tolitoli Regency Government to confirm the discovery of the official vehicle,” he added.
Previously, the KPK conducted a sting operation (OTT) in Hulu Sungai Utara Regency, South Kalimantan, on 18 December 2025.
On 19 December 2025, the KPK announced the arrest of six people in the OTT, including the Head of the Hulu Sungai Utara District Prosecutor’s Office, Albertinus Parlinggoman Napitupulu, and the Head of the Intelligence Section of the Hulu Sungai Utara District Prosecutor’s Office, Asis Budianto.
On the same date, the KPK announced the seizure of hundreds of millions of rupiah in cash in the case allegedly related to extortion.
Then, on 20 December 2025, the KPK named Albertinus Parlinggoman Napitupulu (APN), Asis Budianto (ASB), and Tri Taruna Fariadi (TAR), Head of the Civil and Administrative Section of the Hulu Sungai Utara District Prosecutor’s Office, as suspects in the alleged extortion case in the law enforcement process at the Hulu Sungai Utara District Prosecutor’s Office for the 2025-2026 fiscal year.
However, on that date, only Albertinus Napitupulu and Asis Budianto were detained by the KPK because Tri Taruna was still at large.
Two days later, on 22 December 2025, the Attorney General’s Office handed over Tri Taruna to the KPK. The anti-corruption agency then detained him for the first 20 days.
On 24 December 2025, the KPK announced the seizure of one four-wheeled vehicle belonging to the Tolitoli Regency Government after searching three houses of Albertinus Napitupulu.
