The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is encouraging the strengthening of governance and an anti-corruption culture within PT Pos Indonesia (Persero). The encouragement was conveyed by the Acting Director of Business Entity Anti-Corruption at the KPK, Arend Arthur Duma, during an expert sharing session entitled “Corporate Criminal Liability within the Framework of the Business Judgement Rule (BJR)” held by Pos Indonesia in Jakarta on Wednesday. In addition to encouraging strengthened governance, Arend reminded PT Pos Indonesia’s leadership that the application of the BJR is an important instrument in supporting business decision-making that is carried out professionally, in good faith, and in accordance with laws and regulations. According to him, a sound understanding of this principle is expected to provide certainty for company leaders in carrying out corporate management functions responsibly. Meanwhile, PT Pos Indonesia Corporate Secretary Iwan Gunawan stated that Pos Indonesia hopes the presentation from the KPK will enable the company’s leaders to understand the legal aspects of every business decision. He expressed hope that they will be able to carry out their duties with integrity, prioritise the principle of prudence, and support the creation of good corporate governance. “Pos Indonesia is committed to carrying out all business processes professionally, transparently, and accountably,” he said. The event was attended by Pos Indonesia’s Board of Directors, including the Acting President Director, Commercial Director, Operations Director, Finance Director, and leaders within the head office.
