KPK Detains Rejang Lebong Regent Caught in Anti-Corruption Sting Operation

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has formally detained Muhammad Fikri Thobari, the Regent of Rejang Lebong, following his arrest in a sting operation conducted on 11 March 2026. Thobari was apprehended as part of an anti-corruption sting operation (operasi tangkap tangan) investigating alleged bribery related to projects within the Rejang Lebong District Government in Bengkulu province. After undergoing examination at the KPK’s Red and White Building headquarters, Thobari was transferred to detention pending further investigation into the corruption allegations.
