The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) detained Pekalongan regent Fadia Arafiq after she was nabbed in an arrest operation (OTT). Fadia insisted that she had not been subjected to an OTT, saying: ‘I swear to God, I did not have a single rupiah, not even involving a department head. I did not have a single rupiah.’ She added that she would discuss the case with her lawyers regarding further legal proceedings and again claimed she was not involved in any OTT. The alleged wrongdoing relates to the procurement of goods and services (PBJ), including outsourcing in the Pekalongan Regency Government. The KPK has also seized evidence connected to the OTT, including electronic devices and a car. The OTT occurred on Tuesday (3 March) in the early hours, with Fadia detained in Semarang. Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that the alleged criminal act concerns PBJ outsourcing in the Pekalongan Regency Government.
