KPK Detains Klaten Regent Hamenang

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) detained Klaten Regent Hamenang Wajar Ismoyo after questioning him on Friday (16 October).

Hamenang left the KPK’s Red and White Building wearing an orange vest after being questioned since the previous day, following a sting operation.

He was detained along with Ahmad Luthfi, head of the Central Java representative office of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK), and M Amin Wahyu Utomo, a private-sector individual.

During the sting operation, the KPK also seized evidence including cash totalling Rp1.9 billion.
