Jakarta (ANTARA) — The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has officially detained Fahd El Fouz, alias Fahd Arafiq, deputy chairman of the Golkar Party’s central executive board, along with Adrianto Pitojo Adhi, President Director of PT Summarecon Agung Tbk, after the anti-graft commission carried out a sting operation on Monday (14/9).

According to reports by journalists at the KPK’s Merah Putih building in Jakarta on Tuesday, Fahd Arafiq wore a KPK detainee vest bearing the number 172, whilst Adrianto wore one numbered 201.

In addition, the Head of the Bogor Regency Land Office, I Sontang Coin Manurung, has also officially been named a suspect.

Sontang was seen leading the group of suspects towards the KPK detention vehicle, wearing vest number 232.

Next, former Kebumen Regent Arif Sugiyanto wore an orange vest numbered 218, alongside the Director General of Land and Spatial Control and Order at the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Lampri, who wore vest number 163.

Meanwhile, there are three other suspects, but the KPK has not yet disclosed their identities to the public.

The sting operation was linked to alleged corruption in the processing of Summarecon’s building use rights (HGB) in Bogor Regency, West Java.

In the operation, the KPK arrested 17 people, among them Lampri, Sontang Coin Manurung, and the Head of the Tangerang City Land Office, Tardi. Also arrested were Fahd Arafiq, Arif Sugiyanto, and Adrianto Pitojo Adhi.

From the operation, the KPK seized evidence in the form of cash in rupiah and foreign currencies, with the total estimated to reach hundreds of billions of rupiah.

The money was wrapped or packed in boxes, cardboard cartons, and suitcases, numbering around 20 in total.
