KPK Detains Customs Official Gatot Heroe in Import Bribery Case

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has detained Gatot Heroe (GH), a new suspect in an importation case at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise. Gatot was detained immediately after investigators examined him today.

According to detikcom monitoring at the KPK’s Merah Putih building in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (26/8/2026), Gatot Heroe was initially escorted down by investigators from the examination room on the second floor. As he descended, Gatot was already seen wearing the orange KPK detainee vest.

His hands were also already handcuffed. Upon exiting the building, Gatot Heroe immediately boarded the detention vehicle parked in front of the building lobby.

For information, Gatot Heroe is the Head of Supervision and Services at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise for the Kediri region. He is a new suspect in the alleged import bribery case.

Prior to Gatot, the KPK had already named seven suspects. The bribe-givers from PT Bluerray Cargo have been sentenced by judges. Their sentences are as follows:

1. John Field: 3 years in prison and a fine of Rp 300 million, with a subsidiary sentence of 100 days of confinement.

2. Deddy Kurniawan Sukolo: 2.5 years in prison and a fine of Rp 200 million, with a subsidiary sentence of 80 days of confinement.

3. Andri: 2.5 years in prison and a fine of Rp 200 million, with a subsidiary sentence of 80 days of confinement.

In addition, four customs officials are currently on trial in this case. They are:

1. Rizal (RZL), former Director of Enforcement and Investigation at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (P2 DJBC) for the period 2024 to January 2026;

2. Sisprian Subiaksono (SIS), Head of the Intelligence Sub-Directorate for Enforcement and Investigation at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (Kasubdit Intel P2 DJBC);

3. Orlando Hamonangan Sianipar (ORL), Head of the Intelligence Section at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (Kasi Intel DJBC);

4. Budiman Bayu Prasojo (BBP), Head of the Customs and Excise Intelligence Section at P2 DJBC.
