KPK detains Customs Intelligence Chief Budiman on suspicion of bribes in counterfeit goods imports
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has detained Budiman Bayu Prasojo, Head of the Customs Intelligence Section at the Directorate of Enforcement and Investigation, as the seventh suspect in an alleged bribery case involving the importation of counterfeit or fake goods within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC), Ministry of Finance.
Asep Guntur Rahayu, the KPK’s Deputy for Enforcement and Execution, stated on Friday (27 February) in Jakarta that investigators also seized approximately Rp5 billion from a KPK safehouse in Ciputat during the operation.
