KPK Detains Another Suspect in Lamongan Regency Building Project Case

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has detained another suspect involved in the alleged corruption case concerning the construction of the Lamongan Regency Government Building in East Java for the 2017–2019 fiscal year. The suspect, who had not been detained as of Tuesday (2/6), is Muhammad Yanuar Marzuki (MYM), a member of the Project Management Committee for the building construction and the Director of CV Absolute.

“Following examinations, investigators today, Wednesday, have proceeded with the detention of suspect MYM for the initial 20-day period, effective from 3 to 22 June 2026,” stated KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Budi noted that MYM joins three other suspects currently held at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building Detention Centre in Jakarta. Previously, on 15 September 2023, the KPK announced the commencement of the investigation into the alleged corruption in the construction of the Lamongan Regency Government Building for the 2017–2019 budget year, identifying suspects whose identities were initially withheld from the public.

On 8 July 2025, the KPK announced that there were four suspects in total. The anti-corruption agency stated it was working with the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) and the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) to calculate the actual state financial losses. On 29 January 2026, the KPK announced it had received the official state loss calculation report from the BPKP.

On 2 June 2026, the KPK disclosed the identities of the suspects: Mokh. Sukiman (SKM), the Commitment Making Officer and Head of the Building and Environmental Arrangement Section at the Lamongan Department of Public Housing, Residential Areas, and Spatial Planning (PRKPCK); Ahmad Abdillah (ABD), the Director of PT Agung Pradana Putra; Muhammad Yanuar Marzuki (MYM), the Project Management Committee member and Director of CV Absolute; and Herman Dwi Haryanto (HDH), the General Manager of Regional Division III at PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) for the 2015–2019 period. While the identities were revealed, the KPK only detained Sukiman, Abdillah, and Herman on that date. The state financial losses in this case are estimated to have reached Rp35.7 billion.
