KPK Details Evidence in Muara Enim Regent Bribery Case

Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has detailed evidence, including cash and bank account balances, in an alleged bribery case implicating Muara Enim Regent Edison.

According to Acting KPK Director of Investigations Achmad Taufik Husein at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta on Tuesday, the evidence in the case includes IDR 323 million in cash seized from a backpack belonging to Abi Nurwardani, Secretary of the Muara Enim Education and Culture Office.

Additionally, there is evidence in the form of cash in rupiah and foreign currencies taken from a safe in Abi Nurwardani’s house.

“The cash seized from the safe in ABN’s house amounted to IDR 40 million, 3,200 US dollars, and 2,260 Saudi riyals,” said Taufik, using Abi Nurwardani’s initials.

Other evidence, according to him, includes bank account balances totalling approximately IDR 1.47 billion spread across several accounts under other people’s names or nominees.

Muara Enim Regent Edison was among ten people arrested in the 12th sting operation conducted by the KPK in 2026.

The KPK on 9 June 2026 named four suspects in a case of alleged bribery related to the procurement of goods and services and other receipts within the Muara Enim Regency Government for the 2025-2026 fiscal year.

The suspects in the bribery case consist of Edison, Abi Nurwardani, marketing employee at PT Millenium Solusi Abadi Cory Erin Hardi, and Adi Triyadi, Edison’s nephew.
