KPK Denies Conducting Sting Operation in Bogor

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed that no sting operation (OTT) took place in Bogor Regency, West Java. “Responding to information circulating in the community regarding an alleged caught-in-the-act incident in the Bogor Regency area, we clarify that the information is untrue,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Thursday (20/8). Nevertheless, he said the KPK is requesting statements from several parties to follow up on public complaint reports. “For now, we cannot provide details. In due course, we will certainly convey them to the public transparently,” he said. Previously, reports had circulated that the KPK had conducted a sting operation in Bogor Regency. The KPK Spokesperson therefore corrected the information.
