The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has continued its series of searches related to the corruption case implicating the suspended Regent of West Lombok, Lalu Ahmad Zaini (LAZ). This time, KPK investigators searched the home of the Head of the West Lombok Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement Agency (PUPRPKP), Lalu Ratnawi.

Ratnawi’s house is located in the Jogot Madani housing complex, Block C Number 1, Bagek Polak Village, Labuapi District, West Lombok. KPK investigators arrived at around 09:30 Central Indonesia Time in four minibuses. The search was closely guarded by four Mobile Brigade (Brimob) personnel from the NTB Regional Police.

It is not yet known whether any members of Ratnawi’s family were inside the house during the search. However, an official Toyota Innova vehicle with registration plate DR 21 DL was seen parked in the house’s garage.

As of 11:20 Central Indonesia Time, the KPK investigative team was still at the location. The KPK has also not yet disclosed what evidence or documents were being sought or seized from the house.

The search of Ratnawi’s home is part of a series of investigations into the corruption case implicating LAZ. Previously, KPK investigators had searched the West Lombok Regent’s Office since Thursday (23 July), then sealed two private cars at the regent’s official residence, and searched two private homes belonging to LAZ in Gunungsari District.

The KPK had earlier carried out a sting operation (OTT) against LAZ at his official residence on Monday (20 July). A total of 19 people were detained during the operation. However, KPK investigators ultimately named three suspects: LAZ, the President Director of PT Air Minum Giri Menang (PT AMGM), Sudirman, and the President Director of PT Meconel Sistim Instrument (PT MSI), Alvonsus Gani.

The KPK suspects LAZ of receiving bribes related to a number of projects in West Lombok, as well as engaging in conflicts of interest in the procurement of goods and services. Under the case construction, LAZ is alleged to have ordered the Head of the West Lombok PUPRPKP Agency, Lalu Ratnawi, to help Sudirman secure government projects.

Sudirman is then suspected of using CV Dyas Karya Konstruksi (DKK) as a ‘pool bucket’ for projects by borrowing the names of several companies so that CV DKK would not be recorded as the winner. The KPK alleges that tender requirements were manipulated so that the companies used by Sudirman would win projects worth Rp 17.9 billion through both open tender and direct appointment.

Through the tender process, the projects included the 2025 Gerung City Park rehabilitation worth Rp 2.3 billion and a second phase of rehabilitation in 2026 worth Rp 4.3 billion. Both projects made the Giri Menang City Park one of the pieces of work included in the KPK’s case construction.
