KPK Continues Search of Madiun City PDAM Director's Home in Maidi Case
Madiun (ANTARA) - A team of investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched the home of Suyoto, Director of Perumda Air Minum (PDAM) Tirta Taman Sari in Madiun City, located on Mangkuprajan Street, Demangan Ward, Taman Subdistrict, Madiun City, East Java, on Wednesday.
KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo confirmed the search activity, stating that it forms part of the development of the investigation into the alleged criminal act of corruption within the Madiun City Government.
“Correct, this week, investigators conducted marathon search operations at several locations in the Madiun City area,” Budi said in his statement to reporters.
Based on field observations, the search process was conducted behind closed doors with tight security from local police officers.
The search is suspected to be a development from the case of alleged extortion using the modus operandi of project rewards and corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds, as well as other receipts or gratuities within the Madiun City Government, involving dismissed Madiun Mayor Maidi.
After hours of searching, the KPK team left the PDAM Madiun City Director’s home carrying two large suitcases believed to contain documents useful for the investigation.
“Earlier, the KPK team just visited. For more details, please go directly to the KPK,” said PDAM Madiun City Director Suyoto to reporters after the KPK team left the location.
In addition to the PDAM Director’s home, the investigative team also targeted several other points in Madiun City, including the Bumi Winongo Indah Precet housing area, Taman Salak housing, and a location on Timor Street.
Previously, on Monday (6/4), the KPK also searched the home of the Head of the Communication and Informatics Department (Kadiskominfo) of Madiun City, and on Tuesday (7/4), the search continued at the homes of two private individuals.
In the series of searches, the investigators secured several pieces of evidence in the form of electronic devices and documents believed to be related to the case. Furthermore, all seized evidence will be analysed for the purposes of the investigation.
Previously, the KPK had named three suspects in this case, namely dismissed Madiun Mayor Maidi, dismissed Head of the Public Works and Public Housing Department (PUPR) Thariq Megah, and private individual Rochim Ruhdiyanto.
The three were named as suspects following a sting operation conducted by the KPK on 19 January 2026.
To date, the KPK investigative team is still examining several witnesses to uncover the alleged corruption and gratuity case within Madiun City.
