KPK Conducts Sting Operation on Immigration Official in West Jakarta

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has reportedly conducted another sting operation (OTT) in the West Jakarta area. Based on available information, the covert operation took place at an immigration office on Tuesday (2/6/2026) evening. During the operation, the KPK secured several individuals to be brought to the Merah Putih KPK Building for further interrogation. As of now, the KPK has not provided any official statement regarding the identities of those involved or the chronology of the case. However, it has been reported that the individuals detained by the KPK are currently en route to the KPK Building. Previously, the KPK’s last sting operation occurred in early April 2026, when the anti-corruption agency detained the Regent of Tulungagung, Gatut Sunu Wibowo, in relation to extortion and gratification within the Tulungagung Regency Government.
