KPK conducts sting operation in Cilacap

Indonesia’s anti-corruption agency KPK (Corruption Eradication Commission) has conducted an operation tangkap tangan (OTT), a surprise sting operation. The operation took place in Cilacap, Central Java.

KPK Deputy Chairman Fitroh Rohcahyanto confirmed the reports. “That is correct,” said Deputy Chairman Fitroh Rohcahyanto to journalists on Friday, 13 March 2026.

Fitroh did not provide details regarding the identities of those apprehended in the sting operation. He also declined to specify the matter being investigated in this operation.

The KPK has 24 hours to determine the legal status of those arrested in the sting operation. At present, those apprehended remain classified as investigation subjects.
