KPK Conducts Sting Operation, Arrests Pemalang Regent

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has conducted a sting operation (OTT) in Pemalang, Central Java. During the operation, the KPK arrested Pemalang Regent Anom Widiyantoro. “Correct,” said KPK Deputy Chairperson Fitroh Rohcahyanto to reporters on Wednesday (29/7/2026). Details regarding the other parties detained in the operation have not yet been specified. The KPK has also not explained the case related to the sting operation. Those detained currently hold the status of individuals being examined. The KPK has 1x24 hours to announce the legal status of the parties caught in the operation.
