KPK Conducts OTT in Kuansing, Riau; Regent Suhardiman Amby Still Sought

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has conducted a sting operation (OTT) in Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing), Riau. A total of ten people were arrested. “In the sting operation, the investigation team secured a total of ten individuals,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the KPK building in Jakarta on Tuesday (30/6/2026). Budi stated that nine people were arrested in the Kuansing area and one person was detained in Jakarta. Five individuals were subsequently brought to the KPK building for further examination. “Three are from the private sector, one is a civil servant in Kuantan Singingi Regency, and one is a family member of a state official or civil servant from Kuantan Singingi Regency,” he said. Budi added that Kuansing Regent Suhardiman Amby is still being sought. He urged the regent to cooperate. “We also wish to convey that the KPK is calling on the Regent and Regional Secretary of Kuantan Singingi to be cooperative and surrender to the KPK, as their statements are required for the ongoing legal process at the KPK,” he said.
