KPK Conducts 762 Wiretaps and 232 Raids in First Half of 2026

The Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (Dewas KPK) has recorded that the anti-graft body conducted 762 wiretapping operations throughout the first semester of 2026. All of these pro-justitia actions were reported to the board in a timely manner, in accordance with the stipulated deadline. Dewas KPK member Benny Mamoto stated that the punctuality rate for wiretapping reports reached 100 per cent for the period from January to June 2026. The reports were submitted no later than 14 working days after the action was taken. “There were 762 notifications of wiretapping in total, and these were 100 per cent on time,” Benny said at the KPK Anti-Corruption Education Centre in Jakarta on Monday (3/8).

In addition to wiretapping, the Dewas KPK also recorded 232 search operations during the first six months of the year. However, out of that total, only 152 search actions were reported on time to the board. Regarding seizure actions, the KPK submitted 1,093 notifications. Of that number, 893 seizures were reported within the regulated deadline. “For SP3 (investigation termination warrants), there were six, of which four were on time, while two were late,” he noted.

Cumulatively, the board received 2,093 notifications of pro-justitia actions from the KPK throughout the first semester of 2026. The scope of notifications includes wiretapping, searches, seizures, and the issuance of investigation termination warrants. Benny revealed that his team still found a number of pro-justitia actions that experienced reporting delays. Based on the examination results, the delays were triggered by various operational factors in the field. “We found some that were indeed late. After we checked why they were late and so on, there were indeed various answers we received,” he said. In response to these findings, the board has issued an official recommendation to the KPK leadership to promptly rectify the internal reporting mechanism so that similar delays do not recur in the future. “Therefore, we have provided a recommendation to the KPK leadership so that in the future such delays can be reduced,” Benny concluded.
