KPK Conducts 11th Sting Operation of 2026 at West Jakarta Immigration Office
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradancy Commission (KPK) has conducted its 11th sting operation (OTT) of 2026 within the West Jakarta Immigration Office environment. “It is true, there was a sting operation at West Jakarta Immigration,” stated KPK Deputy Chairman Fitroh Rohcahyanto to ANTARA in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The KPK has a 24-hour window to determine the legal status of those detained during the operation, in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP).
Previously, the KPK’s first sting operation of 2026 took place between 9–10 January 2026, resulting in the arrest of eight individuals. This case involved alleged bribery regarding tax audits at the North Jakarta Medium Tax Service Office under the Directorate General of Taxes, Ministry of Finance, for the 2021–2026 period.
The second operation, on 19 January 2026, led to the arrest of the Mayor of Madiun, Maidi. On 20 January 2026, the anti-corruption agency named Maidi a suspect in an extortion case involving project kickbacks, CSR funds, and other forms of gratification within the Madiun City Government, East Java.
On 19 January 2026, the KPK conducted its third sting operation, arresting the Regent of Pati, Sudewo. On 20 January 2026, the KPK identified Sudewo as a suspect in an extortion case related to the appointment of village officials within the Pati Regency Government, Central Java.
The fourth operation occurred on 4 February 2026, at the Banjarmasin Medium Tax Office (KPP Madya) in South Kalimantan, concerning tax restitution processes.
On 4 February 2026, the KPK also announced its fifth sting operation involving the importation of counterfeit goods. Among those arrested was Rizal, the former Director of Enforcement and Investigation at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, Ministry of Finance, who is currently serving as the Head of the West Sumatra Regional Customs Office.
The sixth operation was revealed on 5 February 2026, involving alleged corruption in the management of a 6,500-square-metre land dispute at the Depok District Court, West Java. The KPK named the Chairman of the Depok District Court, I Wayan Eka Mariarta, the Vice Chairman, Bambang Setyawan, and the President Director of PT Karabha Digdaya—a subsidiary of the Ministry of Finance—as suspects.
The seventh operation was announced on 3 March 2026, during Ramadan. The KPK named the Regent of Pekalongan, Fadia Arafiq, as the sole suspect in a corruption case related to the procurement of outsourcing services and other supplies within the Pekalongan Regency Government for the 2023–2026 fiscal year.
The eighth operation, also during Ramadan, saw the KPK announce on 10 March 2026 the arrest and subsequent designation of the Regent of Rejang Lebong, Muhammad Fikri Thobari, as a suspect in a project bribery case within the Rejang Lebong Regency Government, Bengkulu, for the 2025–2026 fiscal year.
The ninth operation took place on 13 March 2026, with the arrest of the Regent of Cilacap, Syamsul Auliya Rachman. Syamsul Auliya was later named a suspect in an extortion and illegal receipts case within the Cilacap Regency Government, Central Java, for the 2025–2026 fiscal year.
In the tenth operation, on 10 April 2026, the KPK arrested the Regent of Tulungagung, Gatut Sunu Wibowo, along with 17 others. Gatut Sunu was subsequently named a suspect in an extortion and illegal receipts case within the Tulungagung Regency Government for the 2025–2026 fiscal year.
