KPK Conducted 762 Wiretaps in First Half of 2026
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (Dewas KPK) stated that the anti-graft agency carried out 762 interceptions during the first half of 2026.
Dewas KPK also said that the report on the 762 interceptions had been submitted by the anti-graft agency on time, that is, within 14 working days of the pro justitia action being carried out.
“There were 762 interception notifications in total, and 100 per cent of them were on time,” said Dewas KPK member Benny Mamoto at the KPK Anti-Corruption Education Centre building in Jakarta on Monday.
In addition, Benny said the KPK conducted 232 searches during the first half of 2026. However, only 152 were reported on time.
As for seizure actions, he said 893 out of 1,093 were reported to Dewas KPK on time.
“As for SP3 (orders to halt investigations), there were six, of which four were on time, while two were late,” he said.
Thus, he said, Dewas KPK had received 2,093 notifications of interception, search, seizure and SP3 actions during the first half of 2026.
Meanwhile, he explained that the late reporting of several pro justitia actions by the KPK to Dewas KPK was due to a variety of reasons.
“We found that some were indeed late. After we checked why they were late and so on, we did receive a range of answers,” he said.
Therefore, he said Dewas KPK had already provided recommendations to the KPK leadership so that such delays could be reduced going forward.
