KPK Comments on Viral Video of Detainees in Orange Vests at Airport

In a post viewed by detikcom on Wednesday (29/4), several individuals, including KPK suspects, were seen at an airport wearing orange KPK detainee vests. “Regarding that, it is part of the prosecution process, namely the transfer of the suspects in preparation for the trial,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters, quoted on Wednesday (29/4/2026). The four individuals are scheduled to attend the trial today in Tanjung Karang, Lampung. The identities of the suspects are Riki Hendra Saputra, Ranu Hari Prasetyo, M. Anton Wibowo, and Ardito Wijaya. “Before attending the first trial, a transfer of detention is carried out. Because these suspects were previously detained at the KPK Merah Putih Detention Centre,” he added. The transfer of the perpetrators also involved airport security personnel. The KPK has conducted similar processes several times by transferring detainees. “This also applies to several other suspects whose detention is carried out in Jakarta, then the trial is held in the regions according to the locus of the incident,” he said. In this case, the KPK has designated a total of five people as suspects. The KPK suspects Ardito of charging a fee of 15-20 percent for several projects in Central Lampung since he was inaugurated in February 2025. The KPK suspects Ardito of asking a Central Lampung DPRD member named Riki Hendra Saputra (RHS) to arrange the winners of goods and services procurement in several agencies. The goods and services procurement is said to have to be won by companies owned by Ardito’s family or owned by Ardito’s success team during the Central Lampung Pilkada. In short, Ardito is suspected of receiving a fee of Rp 5.25 billion from several contractors through Riki and Ranu Hari Prasetyo as Ardito’s younger brother. The money is suspected to have been received during the period February-November 2025. Ardito is also suspected of receiving Rp 500 million from medical equipment procurement. The KPK suspects the money was used for the Regent’s operational funds amounting to Rp 500 million and to settle bank loans during the campaign amounting to Rp 5.25 billion.
