The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has outlined a strategy to prevent corruption among civil servants (ASN). The KPK will require all ASN to pass an e-learning course on anti-corruption. “The KPK is also preparing and has piloted it in several ministries, agencies, and local governments. In the future, there will be, in quotes, an obligation for all ASN to pass the e-learning on basic anti-corruption knowledge and integrity at least once a year,” said KPK Deputy for Education and Public Participation, Wawan Wardiana, after signing a cooperation agreement at the Supreme Court (MA) in Central Jakarta on Friday (24/4/2026). This has already been trialled by the KPK in 12 ministries/agencies. If the trial succeeds, it will be rolled out to 5.8 million ASN next year. “This is being trialled in 12 ministries, agencies, and local governments. If I receive a report that it has been successful here, then with the regulation we are making with the relevant ministries and agencies, once a year, perhaps at the beginning of the year, the 5.8 million ASN will be required to take the KPK’s e-learning on anti-corruption knowledge and integrity,” he stated. “Then, if they pass, they will have proof of completion, and only then can they carry out their other tasks,” he added. Furthermore, Wawan stated that this e-learning passing requirement will apply to all ASN from the lowest level to Echelon I. It is hoped that with this training, ASN can maintain their integrity. “Friends who have already attended education and training, and there is technical training at least once a year to remind them again by taking the KPK’s e-learning on anti-corruption knowledge and integrity,” he said.
