The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has stressed there is no differential treatment for former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansyah, who is currently being held at the State Detention Centre (Rutan) branch of the Red and White Building. KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that the detention centre’s regulations apply equally to all detainees. “As a detainee at the KPK Detention Centre, Mr FA receives his rights, including family visits, in accordance with the regulations of the KPK Detention Centre. These basic rights as a detainee are also granted to other detainees,” Budi said via written message on Monday (27/7). Budi noted that Adriansyah received a family visit today. In addition, a visit by his legal counsel is also scheduled. “Today, the family has conducted a visit to Mr FA at the KPK Detention Centre. Furthermore, FA has also received food deliveries from his family or relatives,” Budi said. Febrie is set to join other detainees after previously undergoing isolation. “Correct, in accordance with procedure, FA first underwent isolation. It is planned that today he will begin joining the other detainees,” Budi revealed. Previously, the Attorney General’s Office entrusted the detention of Febrie, a suspect in an alleged corruption and Money Laundering (TPPU) case, to the KPK Detention Centre on Friday (24/7). Febrie will undergo an initial 20-day detention period. The Attorney General’s Office has not yet disclosed the detailed construction of the case ensnaring Febrie.
