JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) claims it is still actively searching for the fugitive in the bribery case concerning the interim replacement (PAW) of a House of Representatives (DPR) member, Harun Masiku.

“Of course, the investigators are still endeavouring to locate Mr HM, who is a wanted person (DPO) of the KPK,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in his statement on Tuesday (13/5/2026).

Budi stated that in this search, the KPK is being assisted by law enforcement agencies both domestically and abroad to provide information regarding Harun Masiku’s whereabouts.

“Or with entities abroad that can provide information if they know of the individual’s presence, so that we can immediately follow up if Mr HM is indeed found in his hiding place,” he said.

Based on such information, the KPK investigation team would promptly pursue leads to the location, which remains confidential.

“Harun Masiku is also being sought by investigators in recent weeks; they have returned from out of town to search, as there was information about a certain place, which we have confirmed and are pursuing,” said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK, Asep Guntur Rahayu, on 5 August 2025.

“Oh yes, regarding the suspect who still holds DPO status. That remains a priority and attention for the entire enforcement deputy apparatus,” said Setyo.

Setyo also mentioned that Harun Masiku’s passport was revoked long ago by the Directorate General of Immigration under the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in 2020.

“I believe it was a long time ago, back in 2020. The process would certainly have been coordinated with the Directorate General of Immigration under the Ministry of Law and Human Rights at that time,” he said.
