KPK: CCTV at Ono Surono's house in Bandung was turned off by family
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) stated that the surveillance camera or CCTV at the home of Ono Surono in Bandung City, West Java, was turned off by the family of the West Java DPRD Deputy Chairman when the anti-corruption agency conducted a search on Wednesday (1/4).
“Regarding the CCTV, the investigators did not unplug or turn it off. The CCTV was turned off by the family, and the investigators only checked the CCTV,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Thursday.
Budi continued that KPK investigators also did not seize the CCTV after checking it.
Meanwhile, he said that KPK investigators had shown the investigation administration when searching the house. It was even accompanied and witnessed by Ono Surono’s wife, his family, and local environmental officials.
Therefore, he stated that the search of Ono Surono’s house was carried out in accordance with the applicable procedures.
“The entire series of searches was carried out based on Article 34 of Law Number 8 of 1981 on Criminal Procedure Law, which has been amended by Article 113 paragraph (4) of Law Number 20 of 2025 on the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP),” said Budi.
Previously, KPK conducted a sting operation (OTT) and arrested ten people in Bekasi Regency, West Java, on 18 December 2025.
On 19 December 2025, KPK revealed that eight of the ten people were brought to the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta for intensive examination. Two of the eight people were Ade Kunang and his father, HM Kunang.
On the same date, KPK announced the seizure of hundreds of millions of rupiah in the case allegedly related to bribery for projects in Bekasi Regency.
On 20 December 2025, KPK named Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang (ADK), the father of the Bekasi Regent and also the Head of Sukadami Village, Cikarang Selatan Subdistrict, Bekasi Regency, HM Kunang (HMK), and private party Sarjan (SRJ) as suspects in the alleged bribery case.
KPK stated that Ade Kuswara and HM Kunang were suspects for allegedly receiving bribes, while Sarjan was a suspect for allegedly giving bribes.
Meanwhile, on 15 January 2026, Ono Surono was examined as a witness. After being examined by KPK, he admitted to being questioned about the flow of money related to the case.
