KPK: Case files for suspended Riau Governor Abdul Wahid now complete
Jakarta—The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) announced that the case file concerning suspended Riau Governor Abdul Wahid has been completed (P21).
“Today, Monday 2 March, the investigation into the alleged corruption offence related to extortion within the Riau Provincial Government has been declared complete or P21, and transferred to the prosecution stage,” KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo told journalists in Jakarta on Monday.
Budi also stated that KPK investigators have completed phase II of the investigation process by handing over evidence and three suspects to the prosecution team (JPU).
“Subsequently, the JPU will prepare a charge sheet within a maximum of 14 working days. The case file will then be transferred to the Anti-Corruption Court (Tipikor) for trial proceedings,” he said.
Previously, on 3 November 2025, the KPK confirmed the arrest of Abdul Wahid as Riau Governor and eight other individuals in a sting operation.
On 4 November 2025, the KPK announced that Dani M. Nursalam, a technical adviser to the Riau Governor, had surrendered to the anti-corruption agency.
On 5 November 2025, the KPK announced the designation of Riau Governor Abdul Wahid (AW), head of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, Settlement Areas and Land Office (PUPRPKPP) of Riau M. Arief Setiawan (MAS), and technical adviser to the Riau Governor Dani M. Nursalam (DAN) as suspects in the alleged corruption case related to extortion within the Riau Provincial Government in the 2025 fiscal year.
