KPK: Case file of Ponorogo's suspended regent Sugiri Sancoko complete
Jakarta — The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has announced that the case file for Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko, who is suspended, is complete, or P21. ‘Today, Friday (6/3), the investigation file for the alleged offences of corruption related to bribery in relation to appointments, bribery in projects, and other receipts or gratuities within the Ponorogo Regency Government has been declared complete or P21,’ KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told journalists in Jakarta on Friday. Budi said KPK investigators have also handed over Sugiri Sancoko’s file and two other suspects, along with evidence, to the KPK’s public prosecutors (JPU). The other two suspects are Agus Pramono, the regional secretary of Ponorogo, and Yunus Mahatma, the director of Dr. Harjono Regional General Hospital Ponorogo at the time of the proceedings. ‘The JPU will subsequently have a maximum of 14 working days to prepare an indictment and register it for trial in the district court,’ he said. Earlier, on 9 November 2025, KPK named four people as suspects in a case of alleged bribery in relation to appointment, works at the Dr. Harjono Ponorogo Regional General Hospital, and other gratuities within the Ponorogo Regency Government. The designation of suspects followed a sting operation (OTT) in Ponorogo. The four are Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko (SUG), Dr. Harjono Ponorogo Hospital Director Yunus Mahatma (YUM), Ponorogo Regional Secretary Agus Pramono (AGP), and Sucipto (SC), a private party or contractor for RSUD Ponorogo. In the cluster of alleged bribery for appointment, the recipients are Sugiri Sancoko and Agus Pramono. The bribe givers are Yunus Mahatma. For the cluster of alleged bribery involving works at RSUD Ponorogo, the recipients are Sugiri Sancoko and Yunus Mahatma. The bribe givers are Sucipto. In the cluster of alleged gratuities within the Ponorogo Regency government, the recipient is Sugiri Sancoko. The bribe givers are Yunus Mahatma.
