KPK Calculating Number of Outsourcing Workers Linked to Fadia Arafiq's Company

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has stated that it is calculating the exact number of outsourced workers in the Pekalongan Regency government environment linked to PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya, the company owned by the family of suspended Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq. “We are still delving deeper into the number of outsourced workers,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Thursday. According to Budi, the KPK is still determining the precise number because PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya won procurements not only in one or two departments within the Pekalongan Regency government. Previously, on 3 March 2026, the KPK arrested Fadia Arafiq along with her aide and trusted associate in the Semarang area, Central Java. In addition, the KPK secured 11 other individuals in Pekalongan, Central Java. This series of arrests was part of the KPK’s seventh hand-catching operation (OTT) in 2026, coinciding with the month of Ramadan 1447 Hijriah. On 4 March 2026, the KPK named Fadia Arafiq as the sole suspect in the alleged corruption case related to the procurement of outsourcing services or outsourced workers, and other procurements within the Pekalongan Regency government for the 2023-2026 fiscal years. The KPK suspects Fadia Arafiq of involvement in a conflict of interest by having her family’s company, PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya (RNB), win several procurements within the Pekalongan Regency government. Fadia Arafiq and her family are said to have received Rp19 billion from these procurement contracts. The breakdown is Rp13.7 billion purely enjoyed by the singer of the song Cik Cik Bum Bum and her family, Rp2.3 billion distributed to the Director of PT RNB who is also a household assistant named Rul Bayatun, and Rp3 billion from cash withdrawals that have not yet been distributed. On 23 April 2026, the KPK summoned 55 outsourced workers in the Pekalongan Regency government as witnesses in the case. They consisted of outsourced workers in the Pekalongan Regency Transportation Department, the Pekalongan Regency Civil Service Police Unit and Fire Department, the Pekalongan Regency Education and Culture Department, the Pekalongan Regency Communication and Informatics Department, and the Pekalongan Regency Youth and Sports and Tourism Department. There were also outsourced workers in the Pekalongan Regency Cooperative, Small and Medium Enterprises and Labour Department, the Pekalongan Regency Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Department, the Pekalongan Regency Industry and Trade Department, and the Pekalongan Regency People’s Housing and Settlement Areas and Environment Department. Furthermore, outsourced workers in the Pekalongan Regency Regional Secretariat, the Pekalongan Regency Social Department, Kraton Pekalongan Regional General Hospital, and Kajen Pekalongan Regional General Hospital.
