KPK Asserts Muara Enim Audit Bribery Case Will Not Disrupt Cooperation with BPK
Jakarta, VIVA – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has affirmed that its handling of an alleged bribery case linked to the results of a Financial Audit Agency (BPK) audit at the Muara Enim Regency Government in South Sumatra will not affect the institutional relationship between the KPK and BPK.
KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said the case under investigation involves alleged criminal acts committed by individuals and will therefore not disrupt the synergy that has long been built between the two institutions.
“It will not disrupt the good cooperation that has been established between the KPK and BPK,” Budi said on Thursday, 16 July 2026.
According to Budi, the KPK and BPK have long maintained close coordination, particularly in calculating state financial losses in corruption cases.
In addition to working with BPK, the KPK also collaborates with the Finance and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) to support investigations.
“Institutionally, we conduct intensive communication and coordination, because in many cases currently under investigation, particularly in calculating state losses, we work together with BPK,” he said.
Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi Questioned as Witness
Amid the investigation, the KPK summoned BPK RI Member V Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi to be questioned as a witness on Thursday, 16 July 2026.
The examination was conducted to complete the case construction of the alleged bribery related to the results of an audit of several procurement activities in Muara Enim Regency.
“That is correct, today investigators scheduled the questioning of a witness, Mr BB, as a Member of BPK RI,” Budi said.
In this case, investigators are probing the alleged alteration of audit results from Qualified Opinion (WDP) to Unqualified Opinion (WTP).
Budi explained that witness statements are needed to clarify the sequence of events and strengthen the evidence against the suspects who have already been named.
“Therefore, investigators require the statements of witnesses to explain the case construction so that it becomes complete, including to strengthen the evidence against the parties who have already been named suspects,” he said.
In addition to Bobby, the KPK also summoned several other BPK officials and employees, namely:
Tuning Rahayu as expert staff to BPK Member V.
Widhi Widayat as Director General of State Financial Audit (PKN) V at BPK.
Ahdony Asfiansyah as Head of Audit Subdirectorate I.C.2 at BPK.
Wahyu Tri Handoko as Head of the AKN V Secretariat at BPK.
