KPK Arrests Klaten Regent and Central Java BPK Chief in Alleged Corruption Case

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has detained Klaten Regent Hamenang Wajar Ismoyo, Central Java representative office chief of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) Ahmad Luthfi H. Rahmatullah, and private-sector figure Amin Wahyu Utomo following a sting operation into alleged corruption.

The alleged offences include corruption in the procurement of goods and services, licensing, collection fees and payments from regional government agencies or work units, as well as payments to BPK officials to influence an audit.

The three were detained after undergoing questioning at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta on Friday, 16 October 2026.
