KPK Arrests Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman in Graft Operation

Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has conducted a sudden arrest operation (OTT) in Central Java.

In the covert operation, investigators from the anti-corruption agency have secured Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman.

This development was confirmed by KPK Deputy Chairman Fitroh Rohcahyanto.

“It is correct,” Fitroh said briefly when asked to confirm the arrest of the Cilacap Regent.

He declined to elaborate on the specific corruption case involving the Cilacap Regent.

Previously, the KPK conducted a sudden arrest operation (OTT) in Rejang Lebong District, Bengkulu Province, on Monday evening (9 March). The operation netted Rejang Lebong Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari. A total of 13 individuals were arrested in this operation.

The KPK sealed several office spaces within the Rejang Lebong District Government environment in Bengkulu.
