KPK Arrests 21 People, Including Pemalang Regent, in Sting Operation

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has arrested a total of 21 people in a sting operation (OTT) targeting Pemalang Regent Anom Widiyantoro. Of those arrested, 12 individuals were taken to the KPK headquarters for further questioning. KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo confirmed the operation, stating that the investigation is focusing on alleged illicit payments received by the regent related to projects and the buying and selling of the Regional Secretary position. In addition to the arrests, investigators secured evidence including more than Rp2 billion in cash.
